This is Abuelita de la Historia working the hide at the age of about 4 months.   I put it on the end of an 8ft branch and swung it aroung to get her prey drive kicking in. And after a little chase, I let her win by catching. |

We do the rope thing, and drag it around, and get them to chase it...GREAT FUN with pups for sure.
I had a BUTTLOAD of hides I was drying out to donate to an auction, but that don't look like it'll be happening SOOOO...but I've been giving it away to any and everyone who wants to haul some off...Got sick of it hanging on my back fence. LOL
Oly you should post pics of yours hanging from their hides on your spring pole...those are fun pics!

Man I love that pic of Litta. BTW what age is too young to let them chase hides. and is there a good sub if you cant get a boar hide like pig ears?

I don't think its ever too young. I am working some little pups that are only 9 weeks old right now. They love it. It will be the ground work for the real deal. I will get them some real meat in a few months. I don't feel the pigs ears will substitute the hide, because the ears are basted to eat, the hide is not for eating.

I get TONS! of wild hogs skins down here in Florida. I am a wildlife biologist for the state and responsible for several management areas with wild hog hunts. All harvested hog skins go directly to the garbage, if there is anything I could help you guys with, just let me know.

I live in Ma. and would like to know if any one could help me find out where i could get my Dogos pen tested? How would one find the closest to him,,, thank you any one for your time ,and help on this matter.
