It seems as if EVERY other dogo forum is focused so much on the people, let's be the place to just talk dogos!
I introduced one of my females to horses today and it went really well. She got a kick(a very soft one in my opinion) to the shoulder, and realized these weren't prey. It was a great sight to see her running around with the herd!
We are working toward hunting from horseback, since we sort of just acquired a beautiful stallion.

Let's try this again. It seems as if in the nearly 6 months from this post, nothing has changed in the internet dogo world. Not so, in the real world. Let's talk dogos! If you're reading, post a reply! This is where we can talk dogos.

We should have a Dogo historical section for old stories and pictures I would say.
It be nice if this forum took off--- one that would be away from the rubbish---

There is a section labeled "The History". That may be an excellent avenue to discuss the past that made the dogo of today. You have any stories to add?

Josh, I wish I had videoed the "introduction of Dante (Dogo) to Belle (mule) now THAT was a RODEO and a half! he lost a portion of his tail, I had a hoof print on my forearm for about 2 weeks...lost a finger nail...it was "interesting." LOL
OH and she had a few punctures as well...this was before we had shock collars...I was walking her past the kennel area, to stake her out to graze up front of our property, and Dante managed to break free and "introduce" himself.
sigh...he was a knuckle head, but he was a good dog. RIP Dante!

I think it is neat to see them so ferocious with a wild animal, and when trained, be completely docile with the farm animals. We had some horses that just seemed to instigate the dogs. They would stand like statues, and as soon as the dogs would go to turn around, they would bolt and run full speed, almost turned a couple of dogs on. Thank goodness for lead ropes.

Myhorse like to lay next to the cages and hang around with the dogs. Of course the dogs love to eat horse poop so they like chilling with the horse.

I just acquired a two year old male in december. How do I teach him to accept my wife. She does even let him. She can give him treats.
