Hi I am new to the forum and Dogos. No one in my area is familiar with the breed. So I have this beautiful 6.5 mth old male dogo named Jaga that I am currently attempting to train using a very reputable private trainer, the issue is he is the most disengaged, nonreactive puppy I have ever known. I have had every test you can imagine on him and the vet says he is perfectly healthy just really layed back and calm. There are no dogos in this area at all and was hoping for some advice or just what other dogos act like. Thank you so much for any help

The breed is known for their duality. By this, we mean the Dogo can go from the most tender lamb like cuddly canine to the most aggressive snarling beast in a matter of seconds. Generally, they are extremely affectionate and extroverted with family and those they are familiar with.
