Michelle, Chris (El Dogo Loco), Sandra, my wife, and I went up this last weekend to the Show at Triple Crown. It was fun. Tomillo "Sancho" de Los Medanos won on Saturday, we came back that day. I went up on Sunday and Mataco Von Grossermund won BOB (he's in the 6 to 9mo) but since no other dogos showed on that day he won. Haha. Then he won 3rd in group. Pain in the but trying to get a young dog to stay still. There's going to be another UKC show this month near Dallas, hopefully more dogos show up.

Showing is a BIG sacrifice I am of the opinion that showing is as boring to the dogs as it is to me--- I admire the effort---
I probably will NEVER show another DOgo again--- they do not belong in the show ring---- they belong in the woods--- I have and MAYBE will show though IF there is a good group of friends showing THEN its fun, for the company and friendly competition--- that's about it for me. JUST STATING MY OPINION and nothing but.

You're right Oly, expensive, boring and frustrating for sure. Being with other dogo friends, sharing a couple of beers, joking, talking dogos, and meeting new people made it a good time. I think showing is just a means to an end, the end being looking for and working towards well put together dogos. Fosho just a small part of the dogo equation. I'd only do stuff here in Texas, some of the crazy people there had big ol RV's with their Logo on the side and travel all around the country just working on "titles" so they can sell dogs, not my style or goal. To each his own.

It must have been fun being with a group of friends, and dogs. Your boy looks to be maturing nicely, and I'm sure he is getting his share of field time too. Did anyone take any pics of Sancho?
