Welcome to the board. It would be great to get together for a hunt locally like in PA. Maybe once the weather gets a little warmer, we can get something going.

Matias is your dog safe around other intact males? I am very interested in a hunting party. However we would need three things: 1 an experienced strike dog 2 telemetry collars 3 an experienced hunter who can gut the hog

I think the places in PA, are outfitters and they would field dress the boar. I am confident in saying my boys wont play well with others, but I am sure we can work something out maybe with a mixed group of good boys and good girls lol.

We should get together, but I think it will have to wait til after the holidays. I hope all of you will have a Happy Holiday season!
As for the hunting. If you want to give a call to the outfitters that you posted, and get some info that would be great!

Hey, I just called 2 or 3 months ago..to the outfitters and they didn't explain me''how this work''..they just told me to go there, and then we figure it out...I was trying to get more info ..but that was it''...now ..if you want to call, saying that you have your own kennel, and stuff like that, probably they'll give it to you the information ... a better price..or a better idea .. Happy holidays!!!

NY is a very anti-catchdog state. If you are caught by the law out there they will take your dog and fine you or put you in Jail for animal cruelty.

You know, we live in Oklahoma ... there are a LOT of pigs here. My husband hunts with his son's in-laws that live just down the road from us. They keep bay dogs and catch dogs on hand all the time. We don't require guides ... these are local, real live guys who live and hunt here and keep a bay pen out on the farm to train young dogs on. I would just bet that there would be an opportunity for a person or two to visit and hunt if there were people interested in making the trip out here. There are a couple of trips that Bobby and I have to make this year - we're going to DC in May and he's going Elk hunting in September. I have to go to Colorado to visit in July for just a couple of days. Other than that... our schedule is somewhat flexible. Oh... and Oklahoma is definitely catch dog friendly. Just thought I'd mention it.

I was looking at some small farm properties for sale in OK. But I want to stay away from the twisters! I spent a few months in Ft Sill during bootcamp and I loved it.
