What do you all feel about the temperament of the dogo today as opposed to many years ago?
I will hold back my opinions, so as not to sway the direction of thoughts, until later on.
Let's talk DOGO!

In a way they should be CHALLENGING--- if not then the mentions of "The dogo is not for everyone" and "only expirience dog owners should have them" has no meaning but a simple cliche of those thinking they have more then just a dog.
Dog should NOT change because the times we live in change.

I couldn't agree more. However, I find too many people in this breed want them to be very soft. Also I see people that expect the dogo to walk past a challenge. Not me. I like them hard!

I feel like maybe 20 years ago, Dogos that live like most do now, would have been a handful. Much different than many I see today. I know sometimes I make like my dogos are unsociable. And to some degree they are. But my least friendly dog, was suprisingly affectionate to a friend that was at my house. I always tell people, friend or stranger, "no touch, no talk, no eye contact" and when that is followed = no problems. But Cesar Milan, tells people to do that with all breeds from labs to pits to chihuahuas.
