Humm, do say more. I DO NOT believe in OFA never have never will, HOW EVER if OFA or any other Organization did DNA testing for diseases I would be ALL OVER THAT, I would jump in feet first.
Reason I do not believe in OFA besides the fact they DO NOT USE ORTHOPEDIC VETS to read X-Rays (I will not except the determination of a laymen person on such a serious issue) is the fact that an X-ray tells me only what is in front of me---- doesn't tell me absolutely NOTHING about IF the dog actually carries the defect or not in his genetic makeup--- so yea I may or may not know if my dogs is dysplastic BUT I do not know WHY and what not--- By the way I do screen I do X-ray so I know what I am working with, I DO NOT and WILL NEVER send my X-rays to OFA--- I have an orthopedic Vet examine my X-rays--- and its much cheaper then OFA.
Anyhow let me know--- I been waiting--- I do not care so much about proving what's what since I know what I have, BUT my interest does lay strongly on health for DNA.
OH and I WILL NOT EVER send info toa public database EVER be it GOOD or be it BAD---I have some pretty awesome X-rays I believe and wont send them in either.
