The best way to decrease defensive barking is to be more dominant. This way the dog will feel you have it under control. Dominance can be asserted subtly, by walking through doors first and eating first, also only giving her food after she has "done something for you".

For those who don't know, I'm Michelle Christman. My hubby and I are Los Cazadores Dogos.
We love this breed with all our heart, we hunt with Dogos and Curdogs in South Texas...and we respect everyones preferred method of hunting style...

LOL Josh, I signed up and then got summoned by my daughter to pick her up (because the bus was FARRRRRRRRR to crowded.) LOL so didn't get to post til a second ago and then I saw your post.

I Frank from Holland, and I am a enthousiast of the real Dogo for a very long time. Although a long time enthousiast only own them for the last 1,5 years.

Hi, i am Martijn, just like Frank from Holland. I own 3 dogo's at the moment.
I am interested in the working Dogo and other working dogs, bred for there original purpose with a conformation in it's most original form.

My name is Volker and I´m from Germany. Since hunting the Dogo as a catchdog is illegal in most of the European countries, I´m always interested in following how this special breed is used for its original purpose in other countries like the USA or Argentina.
